保育士をしながら慎ましく暮らすひかりは、友人の紹介で知り合った資産家の息子と半月前に結納を済ませ、1ヶ月後には挙式を控えている。このまま幸せになれると思っていたひかりだったが…。ある日、先方の親から、ある場所で花嫁修業をしなければならないと告げられる。古くからの慣習で公にはされず一族の中だけで行われてきたものだという事なのだ。不安な気持ちもあったが、婚約者と共にひかりは、この場所へとやってきた…。
